Our Company

We have been working diligently to build a buying group that fosters the growth of independent pharmacies. The Association of Northwest Pharmacies is a Non-Profit Mutual Corporation created to bring independent pharmacies a lower cost of goods and access to third party contracts. Our mission is to utilize the groups' collective bargaining power to offer our members a wide array of competitive advantages. All members share profits on a percentage of gross sales.

In 2002, we signed a five-year agreement with Cardinal Health. We are so happy with our partnership that we have amended to extend that agreement until 2010. Through this relationship we can offer ANP pharmacies three generic contracts, two of which are customized to fit the specific purchasing needs of ANP. Contract Tiers I and II contain the top 175 items most used by member pharmacies and is reviewed and adjusted every six months. To compliment this aggressive pricing structure we also offer a generic rebate matrix that continues to reward compliance as high as 10% rebated quarterly.

Through our contract with Cardinal Health, you will have access a variety of programs and services all designed to make your pharmacy profitable, so you can focus on providing the personal service for which independent pharmacies are known.

ANP also offers its' members the opportunity to participate in the Managed Care Network. By doing so, you authorize ANP to represent you with third party payers, some which we contract directly with, and for others we partner with LeaderNET, Cardinal's Managed Care Network. With the majority of insurance companies, reimbursements are EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or checks are sent to you directly.

To become a member of the Association of Northwest Pharmacies, simply complete the application found in our Forms section. We'll also need a copy of the following information for each store: 1) your certificate of insurance 2) your most recent State Board inspection 3) your store license.
