Price of Goods
Each member shall purchase goods from Cardinal Health with prices based upon their purchases in accordance with ANP?s aggressive pricing matrix or ?market?. SOURCE generics will be discounted 5% on Tier I and 2.5% on Tier II which realign bi-annually.
ANP Rebate
ANP members will receive an annual cash rebate from the Association. This rebate will be distributed within the first quarter of the year, and will be based on total net purchases per store versus the net purchases of the group for the previous year. (i.e. If the group?s net purchases totaled 100 Million dollars and you purchased $2 Million the pharmacy is entitled to two percent of the total rebate).
Clean Sweeps and Returns
At each stores request, Cardinal will conduct 2 ?Clean Sweeps? per year ? and members shall receive a 100% credit on all merchantable products returned. In addition, at any time, all goods returned within 45 days of purchase will also be extended a full credit.
Managed Care Network
LeaderNET provides members with access to more third party plans giving pharmacies the ability to compete more effectively with chains for managed care business. ANP will pay the LeaderNET fees for any member who wishes to join.
Cardinal SOURCE
ANP pharmacies will purchase through the Cardinal SOURCE program with automatic substitution compliance. Each store will receive this rebate within thirty (30) days following the end of each calendar quarter and the rebate will be paid directly to each member via credit memo with appropriate documentation. See attached matrix.
Generic Substitution Rebate
Price protection is available for any member on the auto substitution program with 10% compliance or greater; Cardinal Health will credit the difference in price between the Generic Source Program Product and the substituted/shipped generic product within forty-five (45) days.
Federation of Pharmacy Networks
As a member of FPN, ANP has access to a huge range of contracts (programs and vendors), which are designed to provide your independent pharmacy with the best available pricing, percentage discounts and rebates.
Leader Drug Stores

All ANP pharmacies will become Leader drug stores, with ANP paying the monthly Primary LeaderNET fee of $129 for all members.
Leader Brand Products Rebate
Each member will receive a quarterly rebate of 2.5% on Leader purchases of $1200-$2499, or 5% on purchases of $2500 or more quarterly (Leader RxAdvantage Credit).
Cardinal Conversion Allowance
Cardinal will provide new ANP members (who are currently non-Cardinal stores) a $5,000 per site conversion allowance for all stores using Cardinal as their primary supplier. The sum of $1,000.00 will be utilized at each site for Leader identification kits. The additional $4,000.00 will be paid directly to each member pharmacy within 30-days of utilizing Cardinal as the primary supplier.
National Community Pharmacists Association
ANP supports the legislative efforts of NCPA through our corporate membership which also entitles ANP pharmacies to a reduced rate to join NCPA and also for those renewing their membership.
Coalition Community Pharmacy Action
Independents have faced a series of threatening legislative and regulatory policies, including reimbursement cuts under Medicaid and Medicare, inadequate professional dispensing fees, and other legislative and regulatory actions that threaten community pharmacists. The coalition will be mounting a comprehensive campaign to promote the various interests of community pharmacy - from direct lobbying, to research and strategic communications.
